Poster comps

Just the images.  No text yet. The movies are part of a Terrence Malick festival

This one's The Thin Red Line.  It's a war movie.

This is Days of Heaven.  It's about sharecroppers and Richard Gere. Locust make a cameo too.

This is for Badlands.  It's about young lovers who go on a killing spree.  Martin Sheen combs his hair like James Dean.

  1. I like the consistency of the color and the placement of the images... would love to see how you will incorporate the text in it... The first one seems to have a gradient on the top...but since the other 2 don't I would say just take it out

  2. I like the idea of the images but I'm not sure about the colors. If the thin red line is a war movie, should the background color be more dark or sinister?, because the green feels like springtime to me. And with the 3rd one I feel like the background color doesn't work with what you say with the movie being about killing.

  3. I like the look of the posters so far. The silhouettes on the colored background work really well, I look forward to seeing how you incorporate the text

  4. Nice use of negative and positive space. The textures fit well with the posters too. Each do have a consistency, even without the texture.

  5. cool idea. I like the texture you use in all three of these. It gives more depth and a connect between the designs. I like the negative space, it may need a bit more to it, but you haven't added the text yet so that will probably solve that. good job. :D
